Citrus trees can be grown in the ground or in containers.  Citrus trees should be protected from cold damage when temps get below freezing and especially in the 20's for an extended period.

We recommend growing lime trees in containers and moving them in out of freezing weather.

Persian Lime- More hardy than keylime, less bitter, less acidic, larger fruit, longer storage life.  Limes are not as cold hardy as other citrus trees and the Persian lime tree is a better option than the key lime in our area when it come to cold weather.

Finger Lime- "Citrus Caviar"  An australian tree relative of citrus.  It's finger shaped fruit contain tiny pearls of juicy citrus flavor.  The tree/bush contains many thorns and has small leaves.

Persian Lime Dwarf- Same as regular Persian Lime tree.  Grafted onto different root stock causing the tree to mature to a shorter mature size of around 10' +.

*Citrus trees can be protected with freeze cloth.  Cover the tree and anchor the cloth to the ground allowing heat to rise from the ground.  *We sell freeze cloth by the foot in store, but not online currently.
